To run your account, we store your email address, your display name, and the avatar color you pick. Everything else in Coupleth is content you or your partner choose to add — to-dos, calendar events, your watch list, restaurants, food and recipes, games, and entries in your private Relationship space. We don't ask for anything beyond what a given feature needs, and we don't run ads or third-party analytics trackers.
Once you and your partner are linked, items marked "shared" are visible to both of you. Items you keep "private" are visible only to you — with one honest exception worth stating plainly: the Relationship space's PIN lock is a screen you both agree to respect, not a technical wall between your accounts. Your linked partner's account has the same underlying database access to that space as yours does. We built it this way to mirror how a shared home works — a locked drawer, not a locked room — and we'd rather tell you that directly than let the lock icon imply more than it delivers.
Coupleth is built on Supabase (hosted Postgres) for data and authentication, and deployed on Vercel. Both are reputable infrastructure providers we pay to host the service — neither has any independent right to use your data, and we don't sell or share it with anyone else. Everything, including the Relationship space's cycle tracking and intimacy log, is encrypted at rest and in transit by Supabase's infrastructure.
Deleting your account from Settings immediately flags it and signs you out. You have 7 days to change your mind — logging back in during that window shows a one-tap way to cancel. After 7 days with no cancellation, an automated job permanently removes your data on its own; there's no manual follow-up step involved anymore. If you'd rather it happen sooner than 7 days, email us at the address below and we'll take care of it directly.
